Understanding Our Communities

Why are we doing this? :

Cwm Taf Well-being Assessment

The Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act is about improving the environmental, economic, cultural and social wellbeing of Wales. Under this Act, the Cwm Taf Public Services Board has published its Well-being Assessment.

The Well-being Assessment provides public services with an overview of the state of well-being in Cwm Taf and will inform the Cwm Taf Local Well-being Plan. The development and publication of the Well-being Plan will take place over the next year. The Public Services Board is committed to continuing to engage a wide range of stakeholders, including communities, in this important work.

Cwm Taf Population Assessment

The Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act is about improving the wellbeing of people who need care and support and carers who need support. Under this Act, the Cwm Taf University Health Board, Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and their partners have jointly published their Population Assessment.

The Population Assessment provides public services with an overview of the care and support needs of the people of Cwm Taf and the range and level of services required to meet those needs. The Assessment will inform the Cwm Taf Local Area Plan. The development of the Local Area Plan will take place over the next year and we hope that partners will stay involve in this important work.
